Community Involvement

Our drive to help others extends beyond our network of individual clients. We’re dedicated to serving our community because we know what it’s like to need support from someone you trust. We’re grateful for the guidance others have given us and the success we have today, and we believe it’s our responsibility to give back however we can.

Below are some of the organizations we support.

Outdoor Adventures for Sacrifice in Service (OASIS)

Melissa is proud to be a part of OASIS, an organization that provides opportunities and support to disabled veterans through various sports activities. Along with Amerks Alumni, Melissa helped to create an ice hockey program that has grown substantially and is enjoyed by many.

Rochester Hearing and Speech Center

This non-profit organization serves Monroe County by providing educational, clinical, and audiology services for children and adults who are hard of hearing or have a language disability. Founded in 1922, their mission is to foster “Communication for Life” through language therapy, diagnostic services, custom hearing protection, and other much-needed services that empower individuals with auditory or verbal disabilities.

Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired

This organization provides resources and programs to help the blind and visually impaired navigate life with confidence. Since 1911, the ABVI has worked with doctors and specialists to help children and adults gain new levels of independence through services like vision rehabilitation therapy, low-vision assistance, and orientation and mobility services. Their mission is to continually empower those they serve by helping them maintain and improve their quality of life.

Red Door Community (Formerly Gilda’s Club NYC)

Recently celebrating 25 years of service, the Red Door Community provides free support for anyone affected by cancer. Their educational and emotional programs, family guidance, youth support, and hospital partnerships form a purposeful hub of camaraderie and resources for patients, families, friends, loved ones, and anyone else whose life has been touched by this disease. Red Door’s mission is to empower others in a difficult time and ensure that no one faces cancer alone.
